In short: Tigr collects nothing.

1. Controller

This policy covers the Tigr app (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, widgets) and the website tigr-app.com. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. The short version

The Tigr app collects no personal data. There is no account, no measuring, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party software inside the app. As the developer, I never see anything you put into Tigr.

3. Your tasks and iCloud sync

What you write in Tigr is stored on your device. When iCloud sync is on, Tigr also stores the same data in your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), so your own devices stay in step.

That database belongs to your Apple Account. I have no access to it. Apple processes this data under your own iCloud agreement with Apple, not on my behalf. You can turn sync off in the app's settings at any time. Apple explains how it protects iCloud data in its iCloud data security overview and its privacy policy.

4. Calendar and Reminders

If you allow it, Tigr reads your calendar events so that no task gets planned into a busy time. Tigr reads these events in your device's memory only. They are never stored and never sent anywhere. Tigr never changes or deletes anything in your calendar.

If you import reminders, Tigr reads them once and creates them as tasks in Tigr. From then on they are treated like all your tasks (section 3). Nothing changes in the Reminders app.

You can withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings under Apps › Tigr.

5. Notifications

Tigr creates its notifications locally on your device. There is no server that sends them.

6. App Store

Downloads, purchases and updates go through Apple's App Store, which is covered by Apple's privacy policy. If you agreed in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives me aggregated numbers and crash reports that are not linked to you. Tigr itself sends nothing for this. You can turn it off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

7. This website

The website sets no cookies, measures nothing and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other servers. If you switch the language, your browser remembers that choice locally (localStorage). It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, approximate location derived from it, date and time, the page requested and the browser identifier. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I don't analyse this data and use neither Vercel Analytics nor Speed Insights.

Vercel processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so transfers to the USA are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). Vercel also uses standard contractual clauses. How long Vercel keeps this data is set out in Vercel's privacy policy.

8. When you write to me

If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Once the matter is settled, I delete the message unless a legal duty requires me to keep it.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). A short email is enough.

You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany, datenschutzzentrum.de.

10. Changes

If the app or the website changes, I will update this policy. The version with the date above applies.
